Match Report
Stamford Boys-U15B vs  Leicester Grammar School
On: Saturday, 09 Sep 2017
Venue: at Home

Good opening performance. Very lively in attack, although defensive organisation ( players must talk to each other ) and body positions need improving. Boys played as a team supporting each other which is a big improvement on previous seasons. The forwards were dominant with Bosco, Jai and Oliver Jones very prominent. Felix led the team well and was a good outlet from scrum half. The backs had played well especially Benji Davies, Dawud and Will Barker. Sam Potter had a solid game at fly half and Miles Anderson had an excellent game ( at restarts very solid and illusive running). Ollie Hubbard's kicking really inspired the team with some excellent conversions. Special praise goes to Dominic Northwood for playing most of the game for the opposition as they had a prop injured early in the game, and Henry Brewster ( spectator who brought kit and played as sub for Sam Thomas as he was unable to play) his 5 minutes as Leicester scrum half helped finish the match 15 a side. Excellent opening match with great home support from parents, need to work on setting up the phases rather than individuals going for glory - be clinical finds off opportunities. Backs need to straighten more to keep width for the pace on both wings. Hopefully George Bingham bounces back from knee injury.
