Match Report
Stamford Girls-U13A vs  Wisbech Grammar School
On: Saturday, 07 Oct 2017
Venue: Away

On Saturday 7th October, Stamford Y8 ‘A’ team went to Wisbech Grammar School to play a hockey match. In the first half our team scored three goals and Issy Sharpe was on post and deflected a shot to score the first goal. Aggie did some incredible skills, and passed to Leonie who did an amazing run down the right wing and passed to Issy who scored again. Aggie then finished with the final goal for the first half, the team were on fire!

In the second half we played better and we communicated well as a team. Tess did an outstanding reverse hit from one D to the other which led to Aggie scoring.

Alice did this spectacular shot it bounced and flew into the goal, but it wasn’t allowed due to the height. This made us more determined and stronger as a team and then Leonie scored and Aggie to make the final score 5-0.

What an exciting game and all members of our team played well. Zara did a series of passes down the line which supported the goals. Lucy and Tess did some accurate transfers across the D. Nicola did some great passes onto the P spot. Hannah our remarkable goal keeper was committed to her position throughout the game and deflected all attacks.

The player of the match was awarded to Aggie.

The final score was 5-0 to Stamford.

Well played everyone, we are improving every match and we are becoming a fantastic ‘A’ team.
