Stamford U'15s A vs. Uppingham U'15s A

The first game of the ISHL for Stamford saw the home team dominate proceedings in the first ten minutes, successfully applying pressure to the visitors through the new system and angled press. Although no clear cut-chances were created, it was the visitors that opened the scoring through the direct, route one approach catching the hosts off guard. The following 10minutes, Stamford dropped their level of intensity and struggled to outlet the ball from defence, which subsequently allowed Uppingham to double their lead. Uppingham earned back to back short corners towards the end of the first half and with their second short - scored a third.

The second half was a more even affair with both sides creating chances. Stamford's forwards stepped higher and on occasion Uppingham's defence couldn't outlet. Clearer thought within the D is imperative for the home team, as chances were spurned when really they should have been taken by Jake Leeds, Archie Dickie-Meadows and Archie Davies. The difference between the two teams in the end was the captain for Uppingham who had an outstanding game.
