Match Report
Stamford Girls-U13B vs  Bedford Modern School
On: Saturday, 22 Sep 2018
Venue: Away

The U13 B team traveled to Bedford Modern for their first tournament of the season. They played four 20-minute matches in the tournament. In the group stages they drew one match and lost 2, then drew our play-off match before losing 3-2 in the nail-biting penalty flicks.

Some of Stamford's highlights were two amazing goals from Jemima Todd, where she skilled the goal keeper and had a brilliant shot on goal and another landing in the top corner. There were countless fantastic saves from 'coach's player of the day' Emily Cornelius who has grown in confidence over the last few games and has become and exceptional goal keeper.

The whole team played as best they could and kept fighting to the end. This tournament couldn't have given the team more confidence in matches to come and the teamwork we have been looking for this season. Every individual have improved so much this season already and this tournament couldn't have made them more ready for the matches to come in the rest of the season.
