Match Report
Stamford Girls-U12B vs  Stephen Perse Foundation
On: Saturday, 17 Nov 2018
Venue: Away

Last weekend the Under 12 B's travelled all the way over to Cambridge for a match against Stephen Perse School and it would prove to be our toughest game yet. In the first two minutes of the game, Izzy Hunter had scored our first goal of the match securing us a 1-0 lead. Neve Davies, Lucy Williams, Natasha Williams and George Pritchard all made great tackles to prevent the opposition from scoring more goals. Despite our best efforts, at half time Stephen Perse were winning 3-1. But we didn't let this dishearten us, and we were even more hungry for the ball as the second half began. We continued to apply pressure to our opposition so that they had minimal chances at scoring. We on the other hand, scored our second goal within the first few minutes thanks to Georgia Killick. We managed to hold on and the final score was 3-2 to Stephen Perse and even though we lost, we should be proud of our efforts and especially our team work. Harriet Sharpe was an amazing centre mid in the first and second half providing a strong supportive role for our attackers and defenders. Emily Traylen yet again demonstrated her skills in her centre forward position setting up great opportunities for us to score. And last but certainly not least, Anna Barwise our determined goalkeeper, saved goals throughout the game and in particular during the second half which enabled us to hold on to the final score. All of our team played especially well and can't wait for our next fixture.
